Early life and education

Kamz Mehra was born on 21 January 1997 in Delhi, India. He developed a deep passion for music during childhood, though family responsibilities initially restricted his ability to pursue it professionally. When he began learning music seriously around 2014, he encountered limited guidance, discouragement, and repeated setbacks. Despite facing periods of depression, he remained determined and continued his musical journey.

To strengthen his foundation, he pursued formal education in music and audio engineering. He completed a Diploma in Music Production and Mix–Mastering' from MSR Music Academy, Mumbai, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Indian Classical Vocal from Lovely Professional University (LPU). During his academic years, he trained extensively in Indian classical music, modern production techniques, and sound engineering.

Career

Career beginnings (2019–2020)

Kamz Mehra began his professional music career in 2019. His debut release, Pyar Da Mazak, released under 'Azhar Javed Production, featured his lyrics and music composition. The song received widespread attention and reportedly crossed 10 million views within its first day of release, establishing him as a promising emerging talent.

Ghost production phase

Following his initial success, Mehra entered the field of ghost production, contributing music and sound design to projects in the Punjabi music industry and Bollywood. Due to confidentiality agreements, most of his work from this period remains uncredited publicly. This phase helped him build strong technical expertise and an independent artistic identity.

Return to music and independent career (2025–present)

After briefly stepping away from the industry due to lack of credit on earlier projects, Mehra returned to music in 2023, using online platforms as learning resources. He worked as a Jagran keyboardist and later pursued advanced training at MSR Music Academy, Mumbai. In 2025, he officially began his independent career as a credited music producer and composer, collaborating with Punjabi singers and Mumbai-based playback artists. Several Punjabi and Bollywood projects are planned for release from 2026 onward.
